January 2022 Planning Tips: Leading Off the Year Strong
We are in that quintessential moment in time where we all seem to be stepping back and evaluating priorities, all in the hopes to move forward with refreshed goals outlined for the year. And whatever it is that you’ve decided you want to pursue in the new year, we want to remind you that your goals need no limitations, nor do they need to fit into any certain narrative. Perhaps you want to start or grow a business, work towards a promotion, or even take a leap into a new career path. Your goals may also be to pick up a movement routine, to read more, or to connect only with the people in your life that make you smile.
No matter how large or small your goals are for this coming year, making the decision to step up and really take ownership of your life and your career is huge. Knowing that you are in charge and that you are a leader, no matter what stories you’ve been told or what you tell yourself.
“When we embrace our strengths, we become the type of leader our teams, colleagues, families, and communities need us to be. Your leadership style is one kind in billions. It’s time to own it.” Angela took to the blog to share her insight into how we are all leaders, no matter if you feel like you don’t fit into the stereotypical roles we see in society these days.
So how can you step into the new year with more authority? Here are some places to start:
Adopt a daily affirmation or mantra. Maybe it’s something you say as you’re waiting for the water to boil, during meditation, or while you’re brushing your teeth. Reminding yourself that you are solid, strong, and worthy are good places to start.
Listen with your heart instead of your head. Angela often reminds us of the importance of listening to our intuition, and the quiet truths that our gut is telling us.
Being a leader doesn’t mean that you’re perfect. Know when to ask for help, and be open and receptive to it. Yes, you are strong, but receiving help is not a sign of weakness. Don’t let your ego get in the way of making your path forward the best one it can be.
So, lead the year off strong with the help of your most loving community of like-minded cohorts during our first Monthly Momentum Call (MMC) of the year on Monday, January 10 at 2:00 p.m. PST / 5:00 p.m. EST. Receive 75-minutes of coaching from Charlie and Angela, and ask a question or simply listen in; it’s free, it’s fun, and we’d love to have you. We hope to see you on January 10!
