Ooof. And... preach. The multiple-personality, who am I allowed to be in this space, how much of actual me can people take, and what will revealing all of me do to my marketability/income is very, very real. Thanks for giving voice to the struggle.
Oh what a relief to read you and hear named something that I'm grappling with, too. That is, showing up authentically which means talking about paradox, complexity, mystery and not knowing.
It's so much easier to wrap myself in a persona and pretend that the simple clickbait is the truth but the cost to my integrity and sense of self is real.
I've set up my Substack and it's an empty parking lot!
I'm so looking forward to the thought provoking content...and the inspiration it will inevitably bring.
"The entrepreneurial and creator communities I walk embrace and appreciate those parts of me, but tend not to be interested in the systems thinking, organizational development, strategy, leadership, collectivistic, and process focus that are also parts of who I am and flow pretty naturally"
Funny, because I too (as an artist / designer, trying to balance heart and money!) am interested in both, and appreciated that you do too; precisely what spoke to me about PF and Team Habits is that they feel whole-hearted *and* strategic.
Indeed! It's so funny - people are starting to talk about the 5Ps in my circles - the importance of introducing Pause, Play, Purpose, Pleasure and Passion back into their lives. It makes me wonder if I need to return to writing about these a little more for my audience - which might land a little more easily for them. ... Reflecting, testing, listening, adapting. That's what we're doing.
How about all I say is:
YEEEEESSSSS
(I love your complexity/multitudes Charlie, that's why I'm here.)
Thanks, queen.

I'm glad it helped. Not only is the struggle real, it's a struggle a lot of us have. :)

In case it's helpful, maybe something from this post is something that puts a vehicle in that lot?
Or maybe this post will help: https://www.productiveflourishing.com/p/procrastinating-writing-project-300-words-trick
Thanks for the encouragement 🙏

Good luck with the merge :D
Thanks so much, Emerald!
So very happy about this decision! I fully support healing division - even if the division made sense. Back to ONE. Bravo!
Thanks, Julie! And I'm sure you were both familiar with the tension and also looking at how it applies to what you're doing with CRD. :)

Thank you, Charlie, for leading by example and calling out the 30 people (I'm one of them) who relate to hiding. 😄
There are definitely more than 30 and, yes, you were one of them. :)
